Pursuant to the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine all biological materials shall be obtained from healthy, fully examined donors. The donation is anonymous, which is prescribed by relevant documents and legislation of Ukraine (Article 48 of the Fundamentals of Legislation of Ukraine, Instruction on the Procedure of Application of Assisted Reproductive Technologies, Article 123 of the Family Code of Ukraine). Donation programs are based on legal aspects, protecting the rights of a donor (of oocytes or sperm) and a recipient, a donor and a child, born from donor oocytes.

The procedure of patients’ management with the use of donation programs depends on availability or absence of menstrual period of the patient.
